What is the ruling on women using gold-plated mobile phones?

It is forbidden for both men and women to use gold and silver vessels, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Do not drink from vessels of gold and silver, for they are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter." This prohibition includes all uses of them, not just eating and drinking. It also includes anything that is plated with gold. Similarly, it is not permissible to use tools made or plated with gold and silver, such as pens, spoons, and the like, because they fall under the ruling of gold and silver vessels. Accordingly, it is not permissible to use mobile phones plated with gold, neither for men nor for women, because the principle is to avoid anything that involves pride, arrogance, haughtiness, and extravagance.
