It is not permissible to use items made of gold and silver, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Do not drink from vessels of gold and silver, for they are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter." As for items that do not contain gold or silver, it is permissible to use them even if they are the color of gold or silver, such as a phone that is gold-colored, as long as it does not contain real gold. It is advisable for men not to wear gold-plated watches to avoid doubt.
