Is it permissible for a Quranic healer to strike, choke, and converse with the jinn?

Some of the earlier scholars, like Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, experienced instances of communicating with jinn, choking them, and beating them until they departed. However, the exaggeration in these matters that we hear from some reciters is unfounded.
