Is the phrase, "By God Almighty, you will not remain with me in the house after you deliver your child," considered a divorce?

It is forbidden for a wife to curse her husband or reveal his flaws. The husband's statement, "By Allah the Almighty, you will not remain with me in the house after you give birth to your child," is considered an oath of separation. Its ruling depends on the intention:

- If he intended divorce immediately upon childbirth, then it is a divorce.

- If he intended to divorce her after childbirth, then he has the choice between divorce or breaking the oath (al-tahneeth) and paying expiation for the oath. It is better not to divorce and to pay the expiation if it is in the best interest to do so.

- If he did not intend divorce, but merely her not staying in the house, then if she remains with him, he is obligated to pay expiation for an oath.

It is advised to avoid anger and striking.
