The answer

If you delayed making up the fasts due to pregnancy and illness, then no expiatory payment () is required of you. However, if an expiatory payment is required of you, then paying the equivalent value of one and a half saa‘ (about 3 kg) of food for the three days is sufficient and fulfills the obligation. If those to whom you give the money buy food with it for the poor, then it is sufficient and absolves you of responsibility.
