What is the authenticity of the hadith concerning the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha, dividing it verse by verse, and pausing at the end of each verse, and what is its implication regarding the obligation of pausing at the end of every verse absolutely, even if it is strongly connected to what follows, such as: "Woe to those who pray الذين هم عن صلاتهم ساهون (who are heedless of their prayer)"?

The Hadith that speaks of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stopping at the end of verses was deemed good by Al-Tirmidhi and authenticated by Al-Daraqutni, Al-Dhahabi, and Al-Nawawi. This Hadith does not indicate that stopping is obligatory; rather, it is a Sunnah. This is supported by the fact that some of the seven reciters preferred to stop according to the meaning.

Al-Suyuti and Ibn Al-Jazari mentioned that it is not permissible to intentionally stop at the aforementioned verse due to the corrupted meaning it might imply. As for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stopping at the end of verses during prayer and outside of it, this is a plausible matter.
