Is it obligatory to break off an engagement due to the fiancée's short stature, given that she is of good character and kind, even though this matter was among the suitor's priorities?

A woman's religiosity and character are the first things that should be considered when choosing a wife, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A woman is married for four things: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religiosity. So, choose the religious woman, and you will prosper." The intent here is to emphasize prioritizing religiosity when there is a conflict, not to disregard other qualities. If the girl is religious and of good character, then hold onto her, for short stature is not a religious or social impediment to marriage. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married Safiyyah bint Huyayy, may Allah be pleased with her, and she was short. If you fear that her short stature might be an impediment to the continuation of marital life in the future, then it is permissible to break off the engagement, especially if there is an excuse.
