Is it disliked to supplicate with, "O Allah, honor me, inspire me, and afflict me at the same time, and make me among the patient"?

A Muslim should not supplicate for affliction upon himself, but rather ask Allah for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade supplicating against oneself. Furthermore, despair and despondency concerning the mercy of Allah Almighty are among the major sins. A Muslim should strive to seek lawful provision with certainty that sustenance is in the hand of Allah alone, and that He provides for whom He wills without measure.
