Is working for a company that owns a distillery—given that the work is unrelated to the manufacturing or transportation of alcohol, but rather pertains to ensuring the work environment—unlawful, especially since the questioner is in debt and wishes to pay it off?

It is not permissible to work in insuring a winery or protecting its environment, whether it is alone or among other factories, as insuring evil is no less [sinful] than transporting it or manufacturing it.

One must repent and seek forgiveness from borrowing with usury, for it is one of the major destructive sins that cause expulsion from Allah's mercy. Paying off a usurious loan does not permit continuing in this line of work.

One must fear Allah, be patient, and seek lawful sustenance. It is not permissible for a Muslim to improve their living standard through unlawful means. And let not the delay in provision lead anyone of you to seek it through disobedience to Allah, for verily, that which is with Allah can only be attained through obedience to Him.
