What is the criterion for considering what is attributed to Allah Almighty as attributes of the Essence, and what is the criterion for distinguishing between that and what is attributed to Him but is not among the attributes of the Essence, such as "the rope of Allah" and "the spirit of Allah"? And is it permissible for one who has not clarified the truth in these matters, despite striving to seek the truth, to consign the meanings of these verses to Allah?

Attributing something to Allah is either for objects that exist independently, because they are His possession, such as "the she-camel of Allah," or for attributes, because an attribute does not exist independently, and when it is attributed to Him, it is known to be His attribute. "The rope of Allah" is the means that leads to Him, and its interpretation varies between the Qur’an, religion, the community, the covenant of Allah, sincerity, the command of Allah, and obedience to Him. Thus, it falls under the category of attributing an attribute or a created thing, depending on the meaning. An ignorant person must believe in the literal meaning of the text without interpretation, anthropomorphism, or likening, and delegating the meaning by claiming ignorance of Allah's intent is an innovation.
