If someone's prayers are answered in matters that usually seem impossible, is it permissible for him to ask Allah for impossibilities, especially given a previous fatwa that cites the story of Thabit al-Bunani and the words of al-Qarafi, and another question that deals with the ruling on supplicating for something usually impossible, such as saying: "O Allah, if You grant this matter to anyone, then grant it to me"?

It is forbidden to pray for ordinary impossibilities due to the ill-mannered nature of such a prayer towards Allah, except for what has been exempted, such as prophets and saints, or one who prays to become a saint so that he may deserve the breaking of norms, or one who asks for something that benefits religion and supports the truth, not out of personal desire or whim. The servant must adhere in his supplication to what befits his status and not imitate those of higher rank than him, and he should only ask for what is a religious or worldly necessity. For transgression in supplication is asking for what is impermissible, or what contradicts Allah’s wisdom and sunnah, or what entails opposition to what He has revealed.
