The solution to avoiding forbidden glances is to increase one's fear and veneration of Allah, and to frequently remember death in preparation for it. Among the most beneficial remedies is to hasten to marriage, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O young men, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it helps him lower his gaze and guard his chastity." As for the internet, if you believe that leaving it completely will prevent you from forbidden gazes, then leave it. However, if you believe that you will merely transfer to committing sins through other means, then stay on it and strive to guard yourself against the forbidden. Limit your usage to beneficial websites, adhere to specific times for useful programs, and hasten to sincere repentance, remorse, and a firm resolve not to return to sins.
