How is inheritance divided between a full brother and four full sisters?

If a person dies, leaving a full brother and four full sisters, and no other heirs, then their inheritance is distributed among them by 'asabah (agnatic succession), with the male receiving the share of two females, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And if they be brethren, men and women, then for the male will be the like of the portion of two females." The estate is thus divided into six shares: two shares for the brother and one share for each sister. The matter of estates must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation, as there might be other heirs, bequests, debts, or other rights that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
