What should a committed girl do if she suffers from the collapse of her reputation due to her ill-behaved cousin, who has caused some people to shun her, and bad things are being reported to her about her from young men, without the family intervening?

The true measure of people is faith and piety, not wealth, lineage, or color, for Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah does not look at your forms or your wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds." Allah has forbidden scoffing at others and has clarified that the one scoffed at may be better than the scoffer, for Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them." Patience in the face of harm is obligatory, for those who are patient will have a tremendous reward without reckoning. The wrongdoer should be advised with wisdom and good counsel, using verses from the Quran and sayings of the Messenger.
