That the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would seek forgiveness a hundred times or more does not imply that this number is superior, nor does it prevent exceeding it, given the command for seeking forgiveness established in the Quran and , in addition to the practice of some Companions and their followers. Seeking forgiveness is achieved by any formula that requests pardon, and the best of them are those authentically reported in the Sunnah.
