Is it obligatory for someone who is praying with ablution due to a specific event, and then the time for the next prayer enters while she is still praying, to interrupt her prayer and perform ablution again? What is the ruling regarding this for someone who suffers from excessive discharge, flatulence, or abnormal uterine bleeding (Istihada)?

Scholars have differed concerning the ruling on a person with continuous ritual impurity (da'im al-hadath) if the prayer time expires while they are praying: are they required to repeat their ablution (wudu') and prayer, or not? Some have held that their purification becomes invalid upon the expiry of the time, and they are required to restart their ablution and prayer, because purification becomes invalid when the time expires. Others have held that the purification does not become invalid upon the expiry of the time, so they are not required to repeat their ablution and prayer. The first opinion is more cautious and more absolving of responsibility.
