What is the ruling regarding the prayer of one who experiences an intermittent ritual impurity (hadath), if its interruption would cause the prayer time to expire or result in difficulty in re-performing ablution?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

A person who experiences a continuous discharge but has a period of interruption long enough to perform ablution and prayer is not subject to the rulings of سلس (incontinence). Rather, he must wait for the time when the discharge stops, perform ablution, and pray, even if the interruption occurs at the very end of the prayer's time. He should pray alone if the situation necessitates it, and he should not wait for the prayer's time to expire. If he fears the time will expire, he should perform ablution and pray in his current state, even if the discharge occurs during the prayer.
