The soul's aspiration for what is more beneficial to it in its religious and worldly affairs is commendable in Islamic law, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Be keen on what benefits you and seek help from Allah." This is not considered a lack of contentment with Allah's decree; rather, one must keep in mind that this act is a blessing, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Look at those who are beneath you, and do not look at those who are above you, for that is more apt to make you not belittle the blessing of Allah upon you."
