How did the Prophet lead the prophets in prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque on the night of Al-Isra before the فرض (imposition) of prayer during the Mi'raj, and was the manner of their prayer the same as our prayer now?

Prayer was known before the night of Al-Isra (the Night Journey), consisting of two rak'ahs (units of prayer) in the early part of the day and two rak'ahs in its latter part. What was made obligatory on the night of Al-Isra were the five daily prayers in their well-known form. It has been authentically established that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed two rak'ahs in Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) on the night of Al-Isra, leading the prophets in prayer.
