Is it permissible for a nurse to expose her back and abdomen for laser hair removal when she is unable to remove the hair herself?
It is permissible to use laser for hair removal if it does not cause bodily harm. There is no objection to seeking the help of a woman to remove hair from areas that she is permitted to look at, which is everything except what is between the navel and the knee. Therefore, it is permissible to uncover the abdomen and back from above the navel and its equivalent in front of a female nurse, as long as there is no lust or temptation. The awrah of a woman in front of another woman is what is between the nav navel and the knee, and it is permissible to look at the entire body except this area, unless it is with lust or fear of temptation.
