What is meant by the Gathering of Wishes (Jum'at al-Ragha'ib), what are its benefits, and when does it begin in the month of Rajab?

Imam An-Nawawi clarified the invalidity of Salat Ar-Ragha'ib (twelve rak'ahs between Maghrib and Isha on the first Friday night of Rajab) and the prayer of the middle of Sha'ban night (one hundred rak'ahs). He described them as reprehensible and ugly innovations (bid'at), and stated that all narrations or mentions found about them in books such as "Qut al-Qulub" and "Ihya 'Ulum ad-Din" are false. He warned against being deceived by anyone who is confused about their ruling. Sheikh Abu Muhammad 'Abd ar-Rahman ibn Isma'il al-Maqdisi also authored a valuable book refuting them.
