Is Salatul Ragha'ib a Sunnah prayer, and is it recommended to perform it?

The Salat al-Ragha'ib is an innovated Bid'ah (innovation) that occurs in Rajab, specifically on theth first Friday night between the Maghrib and Isha prayers, preceded by fasting on Thursday, which is the first Thursday of Rajab. It was first introduced in Jerusalem after 480 years from the Hijra. Nothing has been reported about it from the Prophet (peace be upon him), nor from any of his companions, nor from the favored generations, nor from the Imams. Scholars have warned against it, stating that it is a misguided innovation. The Imams have written many works condemning it and declaring those who pray it or innovate it to be misguided.
