What is the appropriate and organized legitimate methodology for a university student, who has recently become committed, suffers from weak faith, is ignorant of much of his religion, and possesses books but does not read them, to seek knowledge?

A Muslim must learn what rectifies his creed and acts of worship, and this is one of the best acts of drawing closer to Allah. The seeker of knowledge has manners, including: sincerity to Allah, patience in seeking knowledge, choosing people of religiousness and integrity for knowledge, receiving knowledge from scholars and not solely from books and newspapers, and humility.
