How can a Muslim who was harmed by sexual abuse in childhood, and who suffers from sexual attraction to both sexes, rid himself of this attraction and the sin associated with it, while preserving his faith and his desire to draw closer to God?

Sodomy is a grave indecency. Allah did not punish any nation before the people of Lut with a punishment like that which He inflicted upon them, due to its extreme ugliness. This indecency causes dangerous and deadly health diseases. Despite its vileness, the door of repentance is open for whoever repents, believes, and does righteous deeds, for Allah transforms their evil deeds into good ones. To rid oneself of this indecency, one must distance themselves from its causes, occupy their soul with good, reflect upon its consequences, and supplicate and seek Allah's help.
