Is it permissible for administrators and teachers in a private school to accept gifts from parents or student supervisors, knowing that exams and grading are done in a public school and they have no involvement in them, and that the activity grade given to the student is usually full or nearly full in private schools?

A gift is desirable and should not be refused, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Exchange gifts, and you will love each other," and "If I were given a foreleg or a shank as a gift, I would accept it." An exception to this is a gift to a judge or anyone in a similar position, to block the means to bribery.

A gift from a student to a teacher, if intended for favoritism in grades or to grant them an advantage, is a forbidden bribe. However, if there is no bad intention, then it is permissible to accept it, and the recipient should reward the giver.
