Is it permissible to read the Holy Qur'an while lying on one's left side or on one's stomach before sleep?

It is permissible for a Muslim to recite the Quran while lying down on their bed in any posture, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and on their sides﴾ [Al Imran:191], and His saying: ﴿And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, and on your sides﴾ [An-Nisa:103]. Reciting the Quran is a form of remembrance (dhikr). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite the Quran while reclining in Aisha's lap, even when she was menstruating.

Although lying on one's stomach is permissible for recitation, it is not originally prescribed and has been forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Junaydib, this is indeed the lying posture of the people of Hellfire."
