What is the legal ruling regarding my acknowledgment of the bribe to the person who took it, knowing full well that it is forbidden, and is anything required of me for repentance?

Repentance from bribery is achieved by regretting it and resolving not to return to it. As for one who took a bribe and is unable to return it to its owner, he must spend it on charitable causes and for the benefit of Muslims, or give it to the poor and needy.
