What is the ruling on a group of sisters singing Islamic anasheeds (chants) and playing the daff (tambourine) with a loudspeaker in apartments or wedding halls, and is it permissible for dancing to accompany that?

Studying the Qur'an is one of the greatest acts of closeness [to Allah], and gathering for this purpose is permissible and virtuous. There is no harm in entertaining oneself with good-worded nasheeds and playing the Daff, but it is not permissible for women to raise their voices in a way that men can hear them. Chanting is permissible on a specific occasion or merely for the occasion of a gathering, and there is no harm in a woman dancing in front of her own gender if it adheres to the Sharia-compliant guidelines.
