What is the ruling on bringing male chanters to perform Islamic songs at a wedding, and is it permissible for women to listen to them from behind a curtain, and is it permissible to use tambourines with the songs at the wedding?

There is no harm in listening to Islamic anasheed (chants/songs) at celebrations—such as weddings—provided they are free of musical instruments or sounds similar to them, and that women listen to theनाशidīn (singers) from behind a veil, with the absence of fitna (temptation/strife) ensured. As for men beating drums with dancing, swaying, and singing at weddings and mawālid (celebrations of the Prophet's birthday or saints' births), most of this is among the reprehensible practices of the Sufis and people of whims and desires.
