Is it permissible to adopt Ibn Hazm's view regarding not making up intentionally missed prayers due to hardship and scrupulosity, while simultaneously adhering to the majority's view that abandoning prayer does not constitute disbelief?

The disagreement regarding making up intentionally missed prayers is a strong one. Many esteemed scholars, such as Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, are of the opinion that there is no obligation to make them up. An ordinary person should follow the scholar whose knowledge and piety they trust. A person afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder (waswasah) incurs no sin by following the easiest opinion, so as to remove hardship.
