How do we reconcile the Hadith, "O company of youth, whoever among you can afford marriage, let him marry," with the story of the Companion whom the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, married off even though he could not afford it? And should one prioritize marriage, relying on Allah, by the verse, "If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty," or should one wait until the means for marriage are available?

There is no contradiction between the hadith that commands the one incapable of bearing the expenses of marriage to fast, and the story of the one incapable of paying the dowry marrying someone who accepted him. The hadith does not prevent the incapable person from marrying if he finds someone who accepts him as he is. The one incapable of marriage (due to financial inability) who does not fear indecency is advised to be patient and fast, and he may marry if he finds someone who accepts his situation.
