What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding employees maintaining electrical equipment belonging to their company, if this equipment powers the lighting of a gambling hall, and is this considered cooperation in sin?

Gambling is a major sin. Allah Almighty has associated it with intoxicants and idol worship. It incites enmity and hatred, diverts from the remembrance of Allah and prayer, and drives its practitioner to crime. Its benefits are few, and its sin is great. Assisting in it in any way is forbidden, for whoever aids in a forbidden act is a partner in sin. Therefore, it is not permissible to maintain devices belonging to gambling halls, because that is assisting in what is forbidden. Abandoning forbidden acts is among the causes of sustenance and blessings.
