How can a woman stop talking about people, both good and bad, and how can she prevent others from speaking ill of others?

You must fear Allah and abandon mockery of Allah's servants, because mockery is forbidden, and those mocked may be better in the sight of Allah, as stated in the Noble Qur'an: "O YOU WHO HAVE BELIEVED, LET NOT A PEOPLE MOCK [ANOTHER] PEOPLE; PERHAPS THEY MAY BE BETTER THAN THEM." This action leads to the mockers' good deeds being taken away or their bearing the burdens of others on the Day of Judgment.

It is advised to frequently remember Allah and pray; for prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah protects from Satan.

As for those who engage in backbiting, they must be reminded of the prohibition of backbiting. If they do not respond, one must avoid their gatherings, because if evil cannot be removed, one must distance themselves from it.
