Is it permissible to spay a cat due to the inability to care for its offspring, and to avoid killing it in foreign countries?

Sterilizing a cat is a form of corruption on Earth, which is prohibited in His (Allah's) saying: "And when he turns away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allah does not like corruption."
