The answer

A man is not obligated to inform people of his marriage as long as the contract fulfills its Sharia conditions, and the testimony of two just men suffices. However, if the spouses work in the same place and this leads to their intermingling, then the husband must inform people of the marriage to dispel ill-conjecture, and in emulation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who removed suspicion from himself. Neglecting justice between wives and refraining from intercourse with one's wife in a way that harms her is forbidden; because her chastity through intercourse is among her most emphasized rights, and the estimation of obligatory intercourse should be according to the wife's need and the husband's capacity.
