Is it permissible for the suitor to stipulate to the girl that she work or not, and is the girl's rejection of the suitor because of his insistence on her working considered a mistake?

The husband's condition for his wife to work to help him with expenses is invalid, and she has the right to retract it. However, his condition that she not go out to work is valid, because it is his right that she not leave the house except with his permission. He is permitted to allow her to go out to work in exchange for giving him her salary or a portion of it. As for rejecting the first suitor, there is no harm in it, because engagement is merely a promise of marriage that may be broken for a valid reason.
