We do not know what the questioner means by Internet viewing making up for -compliant viewing. The viewing of each suitor by the other is permissible, not obligatory. Scholars have differed on its desirability. The Hanafis, Malikis, Shafi’is, and some Hanbalis say it is recommended, based on the : "It is more likely to create affection between them." The dominant view among the Hanbalis is that it is permissible. It is the right of the suitors that neither should accept the other except after seeing them face-to-face.
