Is marriage permissible and lawful, or is there doubt in it, if a man meets a girl through an online marriage website and intends to go see her at her family's home, so that if her character and appearance please him, he will marry her, and if not, he will not marry her, even though she has sent him pictures of herself?

Emotional relationships via the Internet are forbidden, and one must repent from them by severing the relationship. If you wish to marry the girl, go to see her directly at her home. If she pleases you, propose to her through her guardian and marry her with a legitimate Islamic marriage. It is permissible for a girl to send pictures of her face, or her face and palms, to a suitor, provided that the suitor's gaze is for inquiry and not for lust. However, it is better not to send pictures to avoid corruption. The pictures must be returned to the girl or disposed of if the engagement does not take place or if there is fear of temptation from them.
