Is it permissible for a man to separate himself, his wife, and his children from his parents' home, while still eating and drinking with them, due to the abundance of problems between his mother and his wife? And would this be considered an act of disobedience (ʿuqūq) and a sin if it is against the wishes of the parents?

Children must be dutiful and kind to their parents, as Allah the Almighty says: "And be dutiful to parents," and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parent, and the displeasure of Allah is in the displeasure of the parent," and "Indeed, Allah has forbidden you to disobey mothers," and "The gravest sins are associating partners with Allah and disobeying parents." Therefore, try to reconcile between your mother and your wife and please your parents. If your wife agrees to live with them, then that is excellent. If you are compelled to live separately from them, then continue to visit them, honor them, and treat them kindly.
