Where is God?

The Sunnis believe that Allah Almighty is above His Throne, above His heavens; He is above everything. And His saying, the Most High: (Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven) means above the heaven, or that what is meant by "heaven" is loftiness. This belief has been agreed upon by the predecessors of the Ummah. As for the question: "Where is Allah?", its permissibility is correct, based on what is authentically reported in Sahih Muslim that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked the slave girl: "Where is Allah?" She replied: "In the heaven." He then said: "Free her, for she is a believer."
