Are the symptoms that the questioner feels—seeing moving objects, hearing sounds, feeling a heaviness, and having disturbing dreams when forgetting the adhkar (supplications) of sleep or even when reciting them—symptoms of jinn possession, or merely delusions? And what is the prescribed Islamic cure for that?

Whoever fears being afflicted by jinn should be advised to perform Ruqyah Shar'iyyah and to maintain prophetic remembrances (adhkar) and supplications for protection (ta'awwudhat), especially the adhkar for entering and exiting, evening and morning, and before sleep. The book "Hisn al-Muslim" (Fortress of the Muslim) is also mentioned. Emphasis is placed on reciting Ayat al-Kursy before sleeping, in the evening, and in the morning, and reciting the last verses of Surah al-Baqarah every night, and regularly reciting Surah al-Baqarah in the house every three nights to expel devils, as stated in the hadith: "Do not make your houses graves, for indeed Satan flees from the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited." It is permissible to refer to a raqi (exorcist) from the people of Sunnah.
