Is taking new notebooks and pens from a deceased father's shop and donating them to a Sharia school considered an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) for him?

Giving charity in the form of pens and notebooks on behalf of one's father is permissible, and he will receive its reward in proportion to its benefit. However, it is not considered an ongoing charity (ṣadaqa jāriya) in the technical sense. An ongoing charity is anything whose benefit is continuous, such as an endowment (waqf). As for what is consumed and ceases to exist, it does not fall under the definition of an ongoing charity.
