What is the ruling on wiping the face and body and kissing the eyes with the hands after supplication?

Wiping the face after supplicating is not legislated, because it has not been established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the narrations reported concerning it are weak and cannot be used as proof. Scholars such as Imam Ahmad, Ibn Taymiyyah, and Al-'Izz ibn 'Abd al-Salam, among others, have explicitly stated this. Wiping the rest of the body and kissing the eyes is even more deserving of prohibition, as that is an innovation introduced by some Sufi orders.
