Is it permissible to provide governmental services to a bank and an insurance company?

Direct work in usurious banks and commercial insurance companies is forbidden. The ruling does not change based on the nature of the work, for every employee is a part of those institutions founded upon sin. The same applies to anyone who assists these institutions in their establishment and continuity, including those who license them, renew their documents, or process and renew the residency permits of their employees. All of this falls under cooperation in sin and transgression, which is forbidden.

Therefore, it is not permissible to work on obtaining visas or renewing residency permits for employees who will engage in forbidden work, nor to obtain licenses for institutions that conduct forbidden activities or renew their licenses, for the money earned from such transactions is forbidden.
