Is it possible for hypocrites and those who show off to attain the love of Allah, the Exalted, even without repentance?

If the question is whether disbelievers and hypocrites love Allah, the answer is yes, based on His saying: "And of the people are some who take others as rivals to Allah, loving them as they should love Allah." (Quran 2:165) Their love for Allah, however, is polytheistic and of no avail.

If the question is whether Allah loves disbelievers and hypocrites, the answer is no, based on His saying: "But if they turn away, then indeed, Allah does not love the disbelievers." (Quran 3:32) and His saying: "Indeed, He likes not the disbelievers." (Quran 30:45) The verses indicating Allah's lack of love for them are numerous.
