What is the definition of Surat Al-Fath?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Surat Al-Fath is the 48th Surah, Madani, and its verses number 29. It was revealed after the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, and it was more beloved to the Prophet, peace be upon him, than anything the sun has risen upon. It was named Surat Al-Fath because it contained glad tidings for the believers of conquest and victory, an exaltation of the Prophet's dignity, peace be upon him, and praise for his Companions.
