Love between two individuals is of various types: natural love (such as between siblings and family members), legitimate love (for brothers and sisters in Islam, which increases with obedience and decreases with its decline), and carnal love (between a man and a woman), which is praiseworthy between spouses, but forbidden between a man and a woman who are not married to each other. Among the forbidden types is that which stems from perversion, which is a prohibited infatuation leading to corruptions, including: turning away from Allah, experiencing worry and grief, and inviting forbidden acts such as lustful looking, touching, and kissing. It may also lead to sodomy and lesbianism.
