Does using the phrase "so that it may be blessed," along with the belief that Allah alone is the source of blessing, constitute shirk that takes one out of the fold of Islam?

The fatwas of the Permanent Committee state that seeking blessing from created beings is of two types: major shirk (polytheism) if one believes that the blessing comes from the one from whom blessing is sought, or from their proximity to Allah; and bid'ah (innovation) and a means to major shirk, such as seeking blessing from the Kaaba's covering with the intention of drawing near to Allah, except for what has been specifically designated by evidence, like Zamzam water and the sweat of the Prophet, peace be upon him. The questioner does not have shirk, but rather suffers from obsessive thoughts and should discard these ideas. As for the phrase "may our session be blessed," one should be cautious about it or clarify the speaker's intention, for seeking blessing from the essence of individuals is not permissible. However, seeking blessing through a Muslim's supplication and righteous deeds is prescribed. It is not prescribed to seek blessing from the essence of scholars and saints.
