What is the Shiite position on the issue of the compilation of the Holy Quran, and is the Quran one for them despite their disagreement over the method of its compilation during the time of the Caliphs, or do they have a different version?

The Quran was compiled during the time of Abu Bakr and Uthman, may Allah be pleased with them both. It is the word of Allah and His proof against His servants, and Muslims have unanimously agreed that it was transmitted to us complete and free from alteration. The Imami Shiites have differed regarding the occurrence of alteration in the Quran, falling into two main trends: Akhbaris and some Usulis believe in the occurrence of alteration (by addition or omission), while the majority of Usulis deny alteration. Muslim scholars, including the Mutazila, Ash'aris, and others, have refuted those who claimed alteration, emphasizing the infallibility and completeness of the Quran.
