Is the hadith, "Three matters, their seriousness is serious, and their jesting is serious: divorce, marriage, and emancipation," authentic, and what is its detailed interpretation?

The Hadith narrated by Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah from Abu Hurairah, authenticated by Al-Albani, states that "There are three matters, serious in earnest and serious in jest: marriage, divorce, and revocation [of divorce]." This means that whoever performs one of these actions, it is of no avail for him to claim that he was playing or jesting, for his statement does not alter the ruling of Sharia in any way. The scholars have unanimously agreed that a clear utterance of divorce, if issued by a sane, adult person, holds him accountable. It is also reported in Al-Tabarani with a good chain of narration from Fadalah ibn Ubaid that "There are three matters in which jesting is not permissible: divorce, marriage, and manumission," and jesting in them is of no benefit to the utterer.
